Serving The King  -  Revival  -  Faith

If you feel that whilst you would love to see revival, your faith is nowhere up to seeing a revival – well that is excellent! Excellent, in that you are being honest. The disciples experienced this, I have experienced this and in fact all mature Christians experience this from time to time! How else do we grow unless God calls us to step out of our comfort zone, out of our current level of faith and venture out into the unknown with Him!

Jesus Solution to Increasing One’s Faith

Luke 17:5-10 The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and be planted in the sea’; and it would obey you. “Which of you, having a slave plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he has come in from the field, ‘Come immediately and sit down to eat’? “But will he not say to him, ‘Prepare something for me to eat, and properly clothe yourself and serve me while I eat and drink; and afterward you may eat and drink’? “He does not thank the slave because he did the things which were commanded, does he? “So you too, when you do all the things which are commanded you, say, ‘We are unworthy slaves; we have done only that which we ought to have done.’” (NASB)

In fact, the more realistic answer for me (and probably for us all) would be; “I am an unprofitable servant; I haven’t even done all that I am supposed to have done”.

Faith increases by humbling oneself! Not by amazing exploits; just plain, simple humility!

For Naaman, as he accepted humility so faith arose and a miracle happened (2Ki5).

The lower we go humanly speaking, so the greater we become spiritually speaking. The more genuine humility we have, the greater the power God entrusts to us. In proportion to our willingness to be humble, so our faith increases.

If you know what is coming, then you prepare yourself by doing some appropriate actions.

Noah built an ark because he knew what was coming.

John the Baptist proclaimed the arrival of the Messiah because he knew who was coming.

So, what am I doing about the coming Revival? Let God’s Spirit guide you to prepare in your own special way.
